ECOtality North America conducts research, development and testing services on advanced battery chemistries, construction and applications for automotive manufactures, battery consortiums such as the Advanced Lead-Acid Battery Consortium (ALABC), battery companies, international research laboratories and the U.S. Department of Energy (USDOE).

ECOtality North America's basic research knowledge through years of laboratory testing and analysis combined with ECOtality North America's practical experience charging several hundred electric vehicles of all types, every day for the last 10 years, ECOtality North America is has the expertise to improve the technology and assist customers with design, testing and assuring the correct battery is selected for the customer application desired.
